Payrolls dropped by just 247,000 while the jobless rate fell to 9.4 percent giving signs that the recession ending. Ref. USAToday

U.S economy is now on the way to continuous improvement. Federal Bank's policy making committee has recently announces that it believes the recession is towards its ending. On the other hand it also announces that the recovery is slow and the unemployment rate may remain high for another year.

9.7 % is not a good number we are getting close to that 10% unemployment. I do hope that experts are right and the economy is now turning around for the better.

In the latest sign of weakness in Louisville-area employment, about 10,000 people applied over three days for 90 jobs building washing machines at General Electric for about $27,000 per year and hefty benefits. Ref. Source 5
