Rebecca Dunbar, the breastfeeding mother in this photo, sits on Santa's lap to take a photo. She then posted the image to social media and got a backlash of negativity. What are your thoughts, was it inappropriate? Got this image from Facebook.

This looks like it was planned and the picture was taken to cause drama and it seems to have worked very well. I believe that this is going a bit over board with the right to breastfeed in public.

What is the drama really, that her breast is out, she sat on his lap or that she didn't let the child speak with Santa? If a child was on Santa lap eating something would anyone have cared? Maybe it would not have been good etiquette to eat while talking with someone, even Santa so I will put it down to the breast being out. For some, Santa is a sacred figure so this is inappropriate. For others Santa is just a cartoon figure that brings toys and this is just a laugh. For me, I'm not bothered either way, there is so much else in the world to be concerned about.
