Dungeness crab unsafe for Christmas

Don't ask Santa for California Dungeness crab this Christmas. The state Department of Fish and Wildlife said domoic acid in the crabs remain at levels judged unsafe for consumption. The season was first delayed in early November when commercial crabbing usually starts. Ref. Source 8a
