Homicide

On television you often hear the cops talk to one another about a 'homicide' when they hear of a murder, but what really is the definition of this word? According to one site:

Homicide definition - homicide is the killing of one person by another
Ref. https://www.legal-definitions.com/homicide.htm

By this definition we will need to ascertain wether homicide can be justified as in:

Justifiable Homicide - the justifiable killing of another because it was done out of self-defense or the defense of another.

Is homicide ever justifiable in your country? Under what circumstances? If you say, 'self-defense' then how would you define the degree to which such an act would be justified as self-defense.

Exactly, sometimes it is so hard to determine whether someone killed another individual by 'self-defense' that the person ended up in jail. In some countries if the person you killed is inside your home and with a gun and is a total stranger and you have witnesses, you can say it was self-defense but you will have to go through a deep investigation from the police.

Homicide History & Civil Business Politics

If you kill somebody in self defense, you have to be in immediate danger of you life. If somebody enters your domicile and threatens your family, possessions, or self, you have right to self defense. If you are able to exit without causing injury to another (i.e. your child or spouse) than you are required to do so. If a person holds you hostage, either physically, or by threating you (i.e "I will kill your son if you leave this room") you have a right to self defense. If one must kill their 'attacker' to keep themselves and their family protected, than they are allowed to by law. On the same note they must also try to escape before attempting self defense, and must try to do minimum damage to their attacker.

Its almost like the laws are there to protect the attacker when in fact the attacker is the one coming into your space and he should not be there in the first place!
