The state usually gets storms and tornadoes, and just recently they had the two as well. Because of this, a lot of flooding occurs and all the chaos claimed 2 people's lives last Thursday!

New Orleans announces evacuations as Ida, now a hurricane, takes aim at Louisiana coast. Ida is forecast to rapidly strengthen in the next two days and could become a major Cat-3 hurricane. Louisiana, Gulf Coast brace for ‘extremely dangerous’ Hurricane Ida, expected to roar ashore Sunday as a Category 4 storm. Ida hurtled closer to the Gulf Coast on Saturday, a treacherous storm that could lash Louisiana within 24 hours - 16 years to the day that Katrina delivered its devastating blow.
