In part of the prayer ritual of the Free Masons a Quran is set on an altar among other books. Does this mean that Islam accepts the Free Masons?

No it does not but it does mean they accept Islam's people. I understand that there is no tissue about your country of origin with this group...I have read that they even have different Guilds for those of different religious back grounds.

To be in the mason you have to believe in a higher power or god. If you believe in a higher power which ever one it is you can be a part of the free masons. They accept islamic as freely as a christian or Jew.
