Federal judge issues stay in controversial Texas execution
The execution of Scott Panetti, which was scheduled for this evening, was halted by a U.S. District Court, citing complex legal questions. Panetti's case sparked a global debate over whether people with mental illness should be put to death for their crimes. Convicted for the 1992 murder of his estranged wife's parents, Panetti has been hospitalized more than a dozen times for psychosis and delusions. Ref. USAToday
In my opinion regardless to your mental state if you such a danger to society that you will likely commit the crime again then you need to be removed permanently from the living.
