NWT

QUOTE
(Ecclesiastes 3:10-13) 10 I have seen the occupation that God has given to the sons of mankind in which to be occupied. 11 Everything he has made pretty in its time. Even time indefinite he has put in their heart, that mankind may never find out the work that the [true] God has made from the start to the finish. 12 I have come to know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during one's life; 13 and also that every man should eat and indeed drink and see good for all his hard work. It is the gift of God.

God created it he expects us to explore, and enjoy it eventually.

I do not think venturing into space is against the will of God, but at the same time I do not see how the above scripture actually addresses the question. Perhaps David can elaborate the interpretation.

I can't speak for God but I mean he created this world and others for people to explore and live there is nothing wrong with trying to reach the stars and explore other worlds.

JB, I will try to clarify.
God has put eternity in our hearts, the desire to live on without dying. If you recall, when Adam & Eve were kicked out of the garden they lost access to the tree of life. Christ came to undo that situation (1 Corinthians 15:22) The Ecclesiastes scripture points out that even with eternity in view we will never understand all there is to know about God's creation.
My remarks on exploration of space maybe just an opinion, but it begs the question"¦ Why would God give us the ability to explore with our curious inventive minds and not allow us to do so?

Well, he gives us the ability to explore, but where to explore may have a restriction. An example of this is the Garden and the two trees or Moses not being able to enter the Promised Land, etc.

I believe space is inherently a restriction designed to keep man to earth. I do not know that man will ever reach far enough into space so as to reach the level of 'Star Trek', at least not before His Coming.

After the judgment is completed by Jesus, the world will be occupied by a righteous human society.(Psalms 37: 9, 10) What technological advancements may come or if space exploration will even be necessary only time will tell. I do agree with you B.J, that mans ability to explore the stars, like in star terk will not come before these biblical prophesies are fulfilled.

Did God Intend Man Reach Stars The Bible Revealed

It is my belief that we were meant to use our brains for peace and not for war. With this use of our minds we would reach for the stars and soon begin to explore our solar system. The fact that we have wasted so many great minds and bodies in killing each other that we may have lost sight of where we could have been.
