Ecuador to Cancel Campesino Debt:
A new tax law will directly benefit the country's campesinos. The law will favor 1.9 million peasant farmers by cancelling 100% of their debt to the national development bank if a request is processed within the first 60 days of the legislation's enactment, while 50% will be condoned if submitted within the first three months Ref.
