Of all the junk Email I get this one is the most irritating for a couple of reasons:
1. It is the most wide spread spam
2. Unlike other spam where something may at least give you information you can use, this one just promises you the best rates in the US, blah, blah, blah.
I did read once that many online users who are ignorant of spam still click on these ads, hence they are so popular.

I made the mistake of applying for a home loan through E-loan, which is an internet loan company. Now I get mortgage spam constantly. Even though they claim to not sell my personal information to others, the coincidence is just too much. Guess that's what I get for not getting the loan through them

The most irritating about mortgage spam is that they do not even know you are not living in the USA, therefore you cannot benefit from any of the rates or deals they have not to mention that almost no information is provided, I am surprised that people would actually click on those e-mails.

Then of course there is that rate. They do not tell you that you need to have an 850 score to get it and put 30% down. The problem is that potential customers now expect mortgage brokers to actually compete with these rates. Then there is the costs that is being quoted. Once you are in the middle of the application or for that matter at the closing and the costs are much higher, how many families are pulling out at that point. How many will file a complaint? In the meantime as a broker, I lose business because my costs are accurate.
And yes, many times, you get what you paid for. You want it dirt cheap, and no consultation? well I would love to find out what the % of foreclosures and or short sales were originated through companies like drytech.com (hypothetical name).

What they are not for real. Dang I was wondering why none of them responded to me. Well I guess I will have to stick with my 30 year fixed mortgage.
I think these spmmers need to stop. I get soo much junk mail I am deleting well over 3000 junk mails from my junk mail box a month. I wonder how many I would have if I actually did respond to any of those mortgage e-mails.
Almost everyday I'm bombarded by hundreds of mortgage related spam mail and it makes me sick. It's reach the stage that I've set a filter to look for "mortgage" in the email and then filter it to junk. Thing is now they do stupid things like spell it this way "mort-gage" so that it passes through. Is there no end with these evil bastards?

It is irritating since I never respond to them. Most of my span comes from the states and I can not even participate in any of it if I wished.
