Man Shoots Wife With Dementia to Death in the Head in So-Called "Mercy Killing"

A California man has reportedly shot his wife to death in a so-called "mercy killing" - claiming he did so to alleviate the pain and suffering she endured because of her dementia. According to neighbors of 72-year-old JC Canfield, he killed his wife, 72-year old Joann Canfield. Ref. Source 9

Dementia is a terrible thing to have. It affect the person and everyone around you. I can understand what the husband was going through he just went about it the wrong way.
