Saudi Arabia's King Salman upends royal succession by appointing his son Mohammed bin Salman as crown prince. Yeah, he's doing some stuff that scares the West. But we have to remember he lives in a dangerous neighborhood. Iran wants to topple the Saudi monarchy, Syria is in disarray, and Iraq is unstable. They are playing hardball in a tough area. We just have to figure out if we're going to play it with them.
Even though the US has firm evidence against this man, Mohammed Bin Salman, they are choosing not to take affirmative action simply because of the position he holds. The US is setting a dangerous precedent.
