I am letting her make the decision. I will not harp on her about hanging out with a stoner or other stoners. I just hope that all my education of the dangers of this type of behavior has set in with her. Hopefully it pays off.

Yes so true once they hit adult hood(16ish) we have to just hope we did our job right.

She is 14 now and will turn 15 the end of this month. She trys to think like an adult but she is just a little short at times. I am hoping that she makes the right decision here.

When I was in elementary school, we were taught about the risks of smoking. I remember going home and annoying my dad a great deal because I wanted him to stop. I don't remember if he quit before or after he got cancer. When I got a little older I started smoking even though I was taught about the risks in school. I eventually quit because I was having trouble breathing.

I know that many kids take up smoking because their parents smoke. I think the cigarette companies like that fact.
