Doris Payne, 79, of Long Beach has a long criminal history as an international jewel thief. She was in San Diego Superior Court this week in connection with the theft of an $8,600 diamond ring from Macy's at the Fashion Valley mall in January. She has pleaded not guilty. Ref. Source 8
