When Will Plural Marriage Be Legal?

Now that same sex marriage is legal in California by order of the California Supreme Court, can we now see Plural Marriage becoming legal in the future? What is your time frame? Does Plural Marriage really have a voice or does it still seem to be something related to cultist?

I think it will become legal in the future but not the near the future. I would say it is still at least 20-30 years or more out. I think it will not be a common practice

I think it will be the "gay" community that pushes that one into effect and yes 20 years max and the big push will start in the next ten.

From what I've read elsewhere it will not be decades away but just a few years. The argument will now be that if two men can be married then so too can one man with many women or one woman with many men. You will also start to see some ugly stuff like couples married to each other, but that is another topic.

I shall have to read more on this then if it is such a hot item. I thought right now it would have been just a few select small groups that would be trying for this. Also what Do you consider plural marriage if 2 men and 2 women are not in this group? It his just refering to 5 men, 5 women o, 1 man 4 women or 1 woman and 5 men?

Plural marriage can be any of that. 2 and 2 or 1 and 5 or 5 and 1 or 3 and 4 it does not matter if plural marriage is deemed ok then a couple could marry another couple. Make it a nice four person relationship. Think of it as three working and one stay at home. Thus you have a bigger income to the family unit and they can support more children. But I think it would be a little weird.

I believe that too Krakyn and I am for a marriage to be between one man and one woman. If this comes to pass then we are just sinking deeper into the cess pool. I do hope that plural marriage is still a decade or more ahead of us.
