Just few days ago the body of 7 year old Somer Thompson was found. Now, it is the body of a 9 year old girl. My goodness, what a terrible thing! I am speechless.
QUOTE ST. MARTINS, Mo. - The body of a missing 9-year-old Missouri girl was found in a wooded area near the state capital on Friday, two days after she was last seen walking from a neighbor's home, police said.
Cole County Sheriff Greg White said a juvenile, described only as a "Person of interest," was taken into custody. The juvenile was acquainted with the girl, Elizabeth Olten, White said.
The sheriff not give any details on how Elizabeth died or about the juvenile in custody except to say that the person lived in the area west of Jefferson City and was older than the girl. Police said Elizabeth's body was found just before 3 p.m.
"We were able to obtain some physical evidence and through some analysis of some of the evidence and in all honesty some written evidence, we were able to develop a person of interest," White said. "Once we reached that person and interviewed them, ultimately they led us to where we've recovered Elizabeth's body."
Elizabeth was last seen when she started walking home from a neighbor's house on Wednesday evening. A woman who answered a family spokeswoman's phone Friday said Elizabeth's family had no immediate comment.... Source 4

KNtoran, apparently it is NOT a teen boy but a teen girl! For years now, I say you never know who commit these type of crimes, in the old times were usually men/boys but not anymore.

The girl who murdered Elizabeth Olten is Alyssa Bustamante and she told Missouri authorities she strangled, stabbed and cut Eliabeth's throat because she wanted to know what it was like to kill someone.

I saw a picture of the killer online and let me tell ya it was the scariest thing I've ever seen. She had the eyes painted in black and like make up mimicking blood, etc. Very disturbing.

I attribute this with the recent vampire fantasy that many girls and some teen boys are into now. I hope that these teens soon learn the difference between fantasy and reality.
IT is scarey that a teen age girl wants to know what it feels like to kill someone.

I wonder what is the connection between the two? Could it be that this juvenile had an interest in this girl? I have the impression he knew her from before. How heartbreaking!.
