The Floodwaters

Midwesterners are still battling rising floodwaters after days of violent storms in the region. Some towns have been forced to evacuate while others, like Cedar Falls, Iowa, mobilized to successfully save their homes from the rising waters.

For some reason this sounds very familiar to me. I hope to keep a daily record of the happenings here as the days go on. I wish I did this in 1993 when it happened too but did not. I will keep posting pictures on my flickr account.

It saddens me on how mant people will lose their homes because of the flooding. I hope that many are able to recover from this. I am glad that very few lives were lost. I hope some crops can be replanted.
