Out of Character: I am untrained in spellcraft
Aquamarine scuffles the floor and her left ear flicks downward.
"Well, alright. Just be careful with that. It's most of my net worth right now. Which wing is the professor on?"
Out of Character: Once Aquamarine gets his location she'll beeline towards Grey.
The spell sucessfully cast on both of them, yet the two realized quickly that it was simply a True Seeing spell made to be triggered on passing through the door and into the room.
"My apologies, an anti-changeling measure, a True Seeing spell," Mythos would explain before sighing and putting a hoof against his forehead. His tone was frustrated, the unicorn continued farther with, "None of this was my idea, but on the insistence of the school for my protection in the path I'm following."
"Given how I am also not allowed to leave the school, that is why I put out a notice," he continued, offering an answer to a question not yet asked before moving on to more the heart of the matter, "Have either of you heard of something called the Crucible of the Stars?"
Zero wasn't able to quit make out who was saying what, but the conversation itself was mostly clear. He made out the bit about anti-changeling measure and that Mythos couldn't leave the school, and the question involving whether or not they had heard of something called the Crucible of the Stars.
He was hidden though, both visually and of sound. No one noticed him as he went down the hall nor once he was at Mythos' door. The Vanish spell helped with this though it would't last long.
Out of Character: Knowledge checks, either Religion, History, or Arcane.

The mare would nod at Aquamarine's request, the spell being cast and nothing amiss before saying, "I will keep it safe, don't you worry miss."
She would then give directions to where Professor Gray was before saying, "Good luck!"

Good luck would have been a fine thing to have a few months ago.
A part of Aquamarine rankled at being called "Miss," a title she hadn't heard for quite some time. Perfunctory respect more foreign to her than she'd like to admit; years of either getting no respect from puffed-up lampreys in tailored silk, or unquestioned obedience from a crew she'd bled to earn left her feeling more out of place than ever.
But, she was a few decades off from turning into a nostalgic greymane. She wasn't dead yet, either.
"Thanks," Aquamarine replied, before trotting towards Professor Grey's office.
The spell was purely a backup measure, but still came in handy. Now that he had heard some detail, he needed to dive for cover to avoid being seen. He looked around the corridor for anything near the doorway. Or he could take out some of the nearby light sources and keep himself wreathed in shadows.
"I understand and apologize for allowing my impatience to show, Professor. Although I suspected there may be security, I am unaccustomed to being treated as if I were a dishonorable bandit, and it has rankled my mane. I do not hold you accountable for my feelings, rather it is my own pride that eats at me in an unseemly fashion." Lightning inclined his head low toward the knowledgeable sage, before straightening and answering the stallion's question. "Regardless of what we do, or do not know about the Crucible, our knowledge would pale before yours. Perhaps it's more expedient to assume we know nothing?"
Zero would notice lamps dotting the hall, in neat orderly line, which might be able to be snuffed out. Though give that this was a school of magic, they might not be easy to snuff out. Keeping hidden may prove difficult, especially since somepony could walk by at any moment.
Aquamarine would make her way through the maze of halls, finding herself to the door that was supposed to the Professor Gray's office.

The professor would nod, assuring, "It is fine, I felt such things were a bit excessive as I can defend myself." He would look from first one to the other, noting both of there reactions to his question.
Lightening would know of the Crucible of Stars when it came to enchanting, more the forging of arms and armour using a vessel made from a fallen star. A dark metal harder then adamantine yet lighter then Mithral, difficult to use. Yet when used in enchanting and forging it would creating artifacts of great power… yet also it would become deeply cursed for unexplained reason.
Mythos would smile, catching a look of recognition Lightning's eyes as he asked the question, and to his reply he would say, "Come now, you know something… I can tell. Still you make a fair point, I guess I can tell you what I know.
"The Crucible of Stars is in many ways just as the name suggests, a container made from the metal of a fallen star used to heat metal and other substances to high temperature," Mythos would say, getting the obvious aside before continuing, "It is an artifact of legend and myth with many believing it doesn't actually exist… officially even the Church of the Celestial Sisters refuses to treat it as real."
Continuing he would say, "The legend goes that the Crucible was used to forged armour for Her Majesty of the Night… not long before her fall as Nightmare Moon. It has been considered by researchers, such as myself, that the armour had malefic influence over Luna even that it allow an entity from beyond the stars to take control."
Looking from both he would say, "The Church sternly denies any such connection, and have told me many times to leave this alone… I have refused. It is now felt that a faction of cultists from the Cult of Nightmare have taken interest in my work. I have received death threats and even an attempt on my life."

"That aligns with the legends I'd heard, which were slightly different. Among my teachers, there was a tale of an ebony blade, like a sliver of pure darkness made manifest, forged from a fallen star in a Crucible made of the same material. The blade grants it's wielder great power, but at a terrible personal cost. Power of that magnitude is not meant for the likes of ponies." Lightning would be lying if he said he wasn't interested in that blade though. That's the trick with power, it's seductive and everyone assumes they'll be the pony who can use it wisely and not be corrupted. "The Crucible of Stars is lost to history, Professor Mythos, why bring it back into the world?"
"Cultists… mystical cursed objects of Nightmare Moon… True Seeing Spells… you are quite the professor." Star Walker chuckles softly, but quickly looks serious. "I can see why you need help. Something that can corrupt even Princess Luna! And… I knew it… I knew it had to be more than what the stories said about Luna… "
Star Walker sighs with a dark expression on his face. "So… we have to find it before it is put to ill use, correct? I accept. I will not allow the Crucible of Stars to fall into the wrong hooves, no matter what."
