Zero cocked his head to one side eyes wide as he stares past the pony deep in thought. "If I had not been in charge of my own faculties, how would I even know? Thank you for telling me that I'm fine in that regard. But I wonder what else could have given you that result on your spell."
He zoned back in and looked back, towards his flank. He hadn't thought some malevolent force out there had cursed him. Then he took the hoof offered for an awkwardly long time and shook it.
"So I get a chance to sail?! Oh this is wonderful! Is it still called sailing when it's on the air? Let me go and get my things!"
When his burst of excitement died down, he offered Sea Breeze a parting question, "Say, you wouldn't happen to know any unicorns specialised in dealing with curses?"
Out of Character: Which is probably an opportunity for a side quest if that's the path you want to take.
Star Walker reads a few things, then realizes he's getting engrossed in it. He lightly blushes as he quickly packs the reading material back where it belonged. "Sorry… got a bit carried away. If I keep reading any more, I might forget what I'm doing here! Um… which of us is going to carry this?"
Mythos would chuckle, before with a wave of his hoof say, "No problem, we can spare a few moments." The unicorn would offer an amused smile, looking to the others and making sure they are ready.
Looking out a window he would get a thoughtful look before saying, "Though you all should get started, as soon as you can. I feel something is too come and I know not what it is." What he didn't tell them is that a dear but estranged friend had given him a special warning, a prophecy even though many of the details were not clear.
In time he could tell them, after they had already started their journey and begin finding the Crucible.
----------
Golden Dawn would listen as it was explained, what he would need to do and where he would go. Once it had, the High Priestess would say, "Go without your armour, and the signs of your order. Offer yourself up as a sailor or guard, and observe those involves."
The paladin would nod, before bowing slightly and heading out. The pegasus would make his way to the docks, pondering all he had been asked to do and what had been discussed.
---------
The mare would shrug before asking, "I am not the right mare to ask that. Both to what the spell could have detected or if their are any unicorns specialized in curses." Sea Breeze did not believe so, at least not in Canterlot as curses were a very rare magic, if even that is what was effecting the colt.
Finally she would smile before replying to another question, "Yes you may set sail. Mind the older sailors though and make sure you obey instructions. Whoever is your captain will expect you to be quick and not hesitate."
Zero heads back into town, one of the poorer districts where a pony can get lost in the hustle and bustle and go unnoticed. With the expense of living in the city, he had created his own shelter and was glad that it lasted the very short time he'd been here and not a second longer. He grabbed his belongings from under a cracked concrete slab, cleaned himself off with a spell and headed back to the docks, glad that that pesky owl hadn't been around.
Across the street from the Evening Dream, perched on a rooftop was a common barn owl. It watched the foal and its eyes narrowed.
Out of Character: Yes, I'm cheating because I didn't actually prepare prestidigitation, the world-ending cantrip (/s). Or, with 15 minutes, I could prepare it in my open 2nd level slot.
Also, I will post in regarding the paladin's name in the character topic.
Once Zero was able to return the mare would notice him and wave the colt over. With her was a large and bulky earth pony with a presence that could be considered intimidating.
The stallion would look Zero up and down before saying to mare, "He just a colt, you really think he would be much help?"
Sea Breeze would nod, before replying, "Yes I think be can be useful. You can start him out odd jobs around the ship if you wish, and give him greater responsabilities when you feel he is ready."
Turning to the colt she would say, "This is Grey Marble, he will be in charge of making sure the crew so what they are supposed too. That is, unless the captain decides otherwise." The stallion would give a dirty look at the though, as if he didn't like the idea of being replaced.
Out of Character: My question is why you didn't have it prepared? Once a cantrip is prepared, it can be used at any time without being expended. Cantrips are unlimited use for an wizard. I will allow it, just try to make sure you have prepared the spells you want to use.
Okay… also remember if you have questions or anything else you would like to talk about go to the Ponyfinder Rules thread.
Within some structure underground a group gathered, covered in dark cloaks of midnight and the symbol of the crescent moon on the fabric their their cutiemarks would be. Their was 8 total, with another standing separate with silver edging on their cloak.
This figure would step forward, intoning a chant that the others would repeat before speaking and saying, "The moment nearly comes, the return of our Queen is at hoof. In three days time, that is when it all starts."
One of the circle speaks, asking, "What of the Crucible?"
"It will be found, and it will go to where it needs to go. No need to worry of that," said what could only be the leader though their face was covered in shadow. Still, there was a hint of blue as a strange staff was lifted with magic, with glowing runes along its length.
Out of Character: Doing this mostly to keep the roleplay interesting and moving forward a bit while waiting for everyone to post, but I will try avoiding this is the future.

"So, uh… Mr Marble?" Zero starts tentatively. "Are we just loading now? I know I'm small, but I could send something light up the rigging. Or if you need help with something heavy I can summon a helper."
Zero follows the stallion and tries to make himself as useful as possible.
"Hmm, you say that you can summon a helper," Marble would ask, surprised and curious on what the colt meant before saying, "Is this a spell? Could be useful in a pinch, what sort of helper would you summon?" He never had much interest in magic himself, nor did he think he would have a talent for it given he was an earth pony though he was curious from time to time about it.
He would direct with his hoof for Zero to pick up a box, one that he felt the colt would be able to carry as it was not too heavy in comparison to others before then grabbing something himself. Continuing he would add, "Conversion is allow but you will be required to keep busy when on shift, slacking with get you more work and less time off."
-
Mythos would consider Lightning and Star before saying, "Either of you can carry the books just keep them safe. Now you three better get going, as The foremare Sea Breeze won't want to be kept waiting. Gather what you think you need and hurry to the ship as soon as you can."
The unicorn wished he could go, but knew he could not despite his suggestion before in allowing him to at least step out of the school. Still, it was not like he wouldn't have later opportunities given his magical skills. He would just need to accept that this adventure would not be his own nor would he play the part of hero in it.

"All kinds of elementals and animals to do all kinds of things," answered Zero. "From animals for tracking and fighting to earth elementals for lifting - though they wouldn't do as good you," he attempted flattery.
"Will do!" Zero considers the box, and how he would pick it up. Too large for his mouth, he adopted a bipedal stance and grabbed it with his forelegs. "I won't stop working until ordered to sir," or I'll make it appear so.
