This is her playing the steel pan, she was very passionate about what she did, she did not have to die in such a manner. Another stain on this country's already tarnished reputation.

Comments: Over the years the public have become immunized to reading and hearing about random killings ,and although this seems to be another horrific murder it will simply be added to the statistics and soon forgotten. The area around the Savannah has in recent years become a haven for drug addicts and vagrants .More regular and scheduled police foot patrols are needed in the vicinity in order to keep potential criminals away. This murder of a visitor to our country is not going to help our country where tourism is concerned. This is such a waste of a young life and obviously another random murder. I have calculated using the statistics provided on this website for the last four decades ,and by deducting the amount of killers not caught and those awaiting trial. It is in my opinion,that there are over 1000 killers on the loose on this island which is obviously contributing to almost all of the random and unexpected murders here. Citizens must be on the alert.and stay vigilant .They must bear in mind that these killers have killed before, and probably in some respects this is now become their habitual occupation.

The Asami Nagakiya Murder Case is getting a lot of highlight especially since the POS Mayor, Raymond Tim Kee, seemingly attempted to pin vulgarity or intoxication as the reasons for Asami Nagakiya's murder. The police have shared that Asami Nagakiya died by strangulation (Asphyxiation) but it has not yet been determined if she was sexually assaulted.

Comments: I do not believe that the Mayor's statement was intended to be interpreted in the manner in which it was. He was not including ALL women in his statement but was referring to women born and bred on this island.His statement is definitely being construed as it happened to coincide with the death of the young Japanese visitor.

It is my understanding that he made those statements after he was asked about the murder of the Japanese citizen. The statement was wrong and out of place. Even if he was referring to locals, NO ONE deserves to be killed EVEN if they are "Vulgar" like he said. It is HIS responsibility to ensure safety to the city of Port of Spain.

On TV6 News there was an exclusive interview with the Russian forensic doctor stationed locally who examined the body of Asami Nagakiya. He wanted to clear up that there was evidence of sexual activity and bite marks by the lip but it does not necessarily point to rape. He did mention that the strangulation was very violent as evidenced by the rupture inside her body. Tests are still being done.
