Deadpool - Page 2

I think what everyone is referring to is the tie in effect. The movie brings all the pieces together so you connect the characters with the scenes even though they are very outlandish it somehow makes sense for the moment. Deadpool was a fantastic movie. I'm already waiting on part 2!

Deadpool

For me it was mediocre movie. Maybe because I expected more with all the hype. But I really enjoyed it because it is as a superhero-movie should be. With violence and proper language. The jokes were so-so, but still better than the average comedy these days.

Deadpool Reviews & RPGs PBP Anime / Comic

Morfeas, not the humorous type or don't like American humor? Deadpool is like the adult humor version of Spider-man. I had a blast and this review reminds me that I have to watch it again!

I loved this film. I want to see it again, because I;m sure I missed things as I laughed over certain jokes! Hilarious! Definitely a tongue and cheek look at superhero films. A leave your brain at the door kind of film and sit back and relax and have a chortle! smile.gif.

Deadpool

That's because his character works both in the story and out of it. Like his reference to being in a comic book or movie while being in both. It hints at Deadpool's crazy mind yet brilliant awareness of what is happening.

Deadpool

Deadpool is actually one of my favourite super heroes (Although 'hero' isn't really what he is). Funny note, when someone asked Deadpool in the comics what he looked like under the mask, he said: I look like a mix between Ryan Reynolds and a Sharpee, so the scene where Weasel and Wade are making fun of Deadpool's face is a tribute to that. Ryan Reynolds really was the perfect casting choice for Deadpool, I knew it when I saw it XM:O, and I'll say it now. In-fact, a lot of the casting was really good in this movie, I felt like Weasel was really well-cast (If you watch Sillicon Valley, Miller plays a similar character who's as funny, if not more-so, as he isn't overshadowed by Deadpool). I thought the choice of X-Men to use was really good as well. The fight scene between Colossus and Deadpool on the bridge was especially funny, but also the interactions between the two characters, Colossus being the Lawful Good, to Deadpool's Chaotic Neutral. I love Negasonic Teenage Witch (Warhead?). I'd never read a comic with her in it, but I felt she was well used as kind of Colossus' apprentice.

One of my favourite moments is when Colossus begins a monologue about what it means to be a hero, and Deadpool shoots the villain Colossus was trying to get him not to kill while Colossus was mid-monologue.

Deadpool's gimmick of breaking the fourth wall must be mentioned here. I felt it was well-used in this movie, but didn't overshadow the plot, it was usually making jokes about other movies like Green Lantern and the X Men movies. I thought the taxi driver was awesome (I won't say anymore here, but he takes a leaf out of Deadpool's book. Yes, some guy actually took Deadpool's advice). I like this version of Deadpool a lot better than the way they screwed up with Weapon 11 in X Men Origins (Wade Wilson's screen-time was the best part of that movie, though).
