Recent History Books

Hi all,

I've been reading through a few books, one of them being "The Other Great Game: The Opening of Korea and the Birth of Modern East Asia" (2023) to learn more about Korean history. I'm also reading a book on Jerusalem, The Silk Road, The Congress of Vienna, and modern French history. They vary greatly in how readable they are, how academic they are, and how wide of an audience the author is writing for, but I hope to get through all of them. Are there any history books that you have been interested in or are currently reading through?
