What is the Gambia Bus System / Taxis like, what is the average fare? What are some of the most known characteristics of Public Transport from Gambia? Does Gambia have a reliable Public Transport system, what can be improved?

The locals depend a lot of sept-places (Some sort of seven seater car) and gelli-gellis (Small, packed minibuses) to get around in Gambia. They both are pretty small and not so comfortable for a ride but it's worth it for their destinations. There are also taxis and ferries available but with a more costly price.
