I am wondering why this is even a law. I understand many still feel negatively towards gays. I am wondering why they are treaded as not human though. I hope many more steps such as this are taken to give equal rights to gays. Gays are allowed to serve in the military and die for the country, but are not allowed many basic human rights . . . huh?

It is almost like we are emerging from the dark ages. I feel this next 100 years are the dawning of a new age for humanity.
