Hey there, all!
My name's Jeremiah, and I'm your classic millennial just stepping out into the wide world of whatever. I have a deep-seated love for Dungeons & Dragons and have been looking for an online community with which I can enjoy my most favorite of hobbies. I have quite a bit of experience in the Advanced, 3.5 and 5th editions of the game, both as a player and Dungeon Master; and I am quite flexible (I enjoy playing just about anything). I'm not really sure how all this works, so your patience and support would be appreciated. Thanks!
Welcome Dungeons & Dragons Role-Player
Welcome Adventurer! We bid thee greetings and we're glorified by thy declaration to be part and parcel of good adventuring. For thy knowledge all Dungeons & Dragons Role-playing Games are kept here: [+] Dungeons & Dragons / Pathfinder Board. To learn the 1-2-3 steps for Dungeons & Dragons Play by Post then go straight to the Dungeons & Dragons Start Guide where a sage has posted steps to follow. Don't worry young master, there is also another Thread for thy consideration: . Yet, if ye still be havin' questions do ask here, thy Introduction Thread, and someone will address thee.
Hi Jeremiah! Has most of your Dungeons & Dragons experience been at the tabletop and never play by post?
Its the same principle you just use posts to communicate. To create a 3.5 character start here: Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 Create Characters For Play By Post. The first post of any thread always has the instructions. You can see how the players communicate with each other: Leadrer pg 125. Horde gave you some good reading above but if anything is unclear please do ask here and someone will help.
Thanks guys! I'll be sure to check all this stuff out. I'm excited to get to adventuring, but I was wondering if there's a definitive list of legal material I can use to create characters? There are dozens of 3.5 books, after all, and I'm all about customization! I'm also cool with being a standard race/class of course.
Jeremiah, each Dungeon Master has their own rules and requirements. In the game you want to play KNtoran will need to tell you what is allowed but you are always safe with the standard as opposed to customization.
