Is the subject of Muslims in Sierra Leone taboo?
If you mentioned to a local that you are part of or support the Muslims in Sierra Leone will that be taken with objection?
Is there fighting among different groups of Muslims in Sierra Leone? For instance Sierra Leone Sunni Muslims vs Shia Muslims, etc.

So, in my travels during my military career I was in Sierra Leone briefly. I have to say, it is a very tolerant country when it comes to religion and religious issues. Although it is majority Islamic, I saw Muslim and Christian people working side by side without animosity or rancor. It seemed to be that way everywhere. It is a poor country, but it appears to be a tolerant country… although, that may not have been the case during their civil war, the intolerance then was more politically based than religious.
