Is it true that Fox News is geared towards influencing how people see things and thus changing their actions?

Fox claims to be balanced as far as information from the right and the left. The most popular shows are from the right and mostly a conservative right side. They do actually try to present both sides, however, the advertising sells mostly from the conservative right side. So the advertising of their own network highlights mostly a conservative republican/libertarian side.

Is their goal to control your thoughts and actions? NO

Do they seem to be bent on providing an outlet in mainstream media (they are part of it now) for a conservative right POV with discussion and highlighting differences a leftist side with little discussion of the differences from say MSNBC, CBS, etc...? Yes

I think you are providing a correct analysis Vincenzo. I like Fox News, but I have to admit, if you don't already share their opinion then you will quickly find that they are dishing out a conservative view. I say that because their announcers are very proactive with their thoughts, even to the point that they sometimes have to correct themselves and remain neutral. I'd say I agree with them around 85% of the time, and I do not feel like they are influencing my actions, but they do give me a lot to Discuss. Thanks FOX News.
