Rock on! $15k is not a ton of money but for a young girl it should help fund her education. Then she can get a job somewhere other than McDonalds. 
A person should be able to join a union if they so choose without fear of intimidation or loss of their job. It is tactics like this that necessitate the need for unions to begin with.

I guess the teen was right from the reaction she received. It does go to prove that unions I some cases are still required regardless of what laws might be in place.
Just hate seeing unions pulled into small shops that are good to work for can really do damage to good moral.
