Well the police needs to find more clues. They need to tie the suspect to the murder, they started already with the DNA sample but I believe there is much more to be done.
WENATCHEE, Wash. -- The man accused of killing 17-year-old Wenatchee student Mackenzie Cowell appeared in Chelan County Court Thursday. Police arrested 29-year-old Christopher Scott Wilson of Wenatchee on Wednesday for investigation of second-degree murder. The two were classmates at a Wenatchee beauty school where Cowell was last seen on Feb. 9. Her body was found four days later along the Columbia River at Crescent Bar. Everyone at the school was asked to give a DNA sample as part of the investigation, and after months of processing those samples from the students, detectives linked Wilson’s DNA to a piece of duct tape, which also had some of Cowell's blood on it. “We interviewed everyone; everyone was given the opportunity to voluntarily give a DNA swab inside the mouth. (Wilson) gave that swab and that was ultimately what we used to identify his DNA on the duct tape,” said Doug Jones with the Wenatchee Police Department....
