Benign Fasciculation Syndrome

For the past week, I have been experiencing a very annoying "Twitching" Right above my lip, on the side, no pain. It has been happening every day with hours or minutes in between and it last seconds and is visible to the naked eye. When it was happening today I checked in the mirror and the twitching leaves a dent in that part of the face. Today I had to sort of hide my face when I was talking to people because I did not want them to notice.

So I searched a bit about it and I found that a lot of people seem to report something similar in different parts of the body and particularly in the same spot I have. I found the following:

international QUOTE
Benign fasciculation syndrome (BFS) is a neurological disorder characterized by fasciculation (Twitching) of various voluntary muscles in the body. The twitching can occur in any voluntary muscle group but is most common in the eyelids, arms, legs, and feet. Even the tongue may be affected. The twitching may be occasional or may go on nearly continuously. Usually intentional movement of the involved muscle causes the fasciculations to cease immediately, but they may return once the muscle is at rest again. Source 7

This condition can last for years. The number one cause is high levels of stress and anxiety. A co-worker who is knowledgeable about biology recommended eating bananas, since increasing potassium intake can help to relieve the symptoms. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this?
