Man charged in 19-year-old murder case could face death penalty

Well the DNA links him to the murder of this poor woman. I agree if found guilty, he should face the death penalty.
A man charged last week with stabbing a woman to death 19 years ago could face the death penalty if convicted. A Franklin County grand jury indicted Richard Fugate today on five counts of aggravated murder with death specifications in the 1991 killing of Nancy Leslie. The grand jury also indicted Fugate on one count each of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, rape and tampering with evidence, Prosecutor Ron O'Brien announced. Leslie was killed in her North Side condominium. She was found by her 23-year-old daughter, bound naked to her bed and stabbed in the chest. In announcing Fugate's arrest last week, police said advances in DNA testing finally closed the case. Police said Fugate, who had done work at the victim's home, had been a suspect from the beginning. They said he knew Leslie through his ex-wife, who was a friend of the victim's daughter…
