I believe they were trying to do the right thing here as being too thin is very unhealthy. I would not make it a crime because it is too easy to make being overweight a crime. While neither is good for the human body being a little overweight can help you when your sick by giving your body extra enrgy to use when you can not eat. The main thing is where do you draw the line. Who is going to say this person is too thin or too fat? Since everyone is different what standards will you use? I know I have never fit into any of the standards. Even when I had less than 15% body fat.
I agree if they want to change the way people think then they need to make a change in the fashion industry. They will have to change from the glamor of thin women to the glamor of real women and the ones with more curves to their bodies.
I look at all these girls and ladies who are soo thin I am afraid to touch them because I may break them. I am one who likes to see a lady with a nice healthy aspect and glow to them. These thin twigs will break if you touch them. The thicker branches will bend and snap back.
I do hope that they make a change for the better and stop the thin
I agree JB.
It is not the role of the government to make sure that I or anyone else lives a healthy lifestyle. It smacks of a government that wants to baby us because we are too fragile to make our own lifestyle choices.
What is next, control on the amount of Sugar I am eating, how much someone smokes, a forced daily calorie intake. Adult Individuals can make decisions for themselves, even if those decisions may likely be unhealthy for them.
