Look into Green Certification
This is a growing field and, at present, is unregulated but there are a few companies out there offering education in environmentally sustainable housing. The most well known and respected of these programs is offered by the U.S. Green Building Council and successful completion of the course results in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) designation.
