Anyone can be a great actor, and I am not saying that Paul McCartney is a wife beater, I am just saying that social relations cannot tell you what goes on in intimate relations.

When I heard that Heather Mills decided to represent herself in her divorce case, I shook my head and thought, "Paul Mc Cartney must be laughing and celebrating right now!" I did not believe for one minute, that she would have any chance of winning her case. I am very pleased with this latest news; I think the judge was very generous in his decision!

Actually, there really was no winning or losing in the case. Mills was going to walk out of the courtroom a millioinare and McCartney was going to be left with a few less pounds, that was already a fact. The question was how many millions she was going to take with her. She was actually seeking 125 million pounds and McCartney was offering 15.8 million pounds, so she got 24.3 million. It is a good increase on what she was offered, but far from what she sought.

McCartney is worth somewhere between 400 and 800 million pounds, so he will still be able to afford a comfortable lifestyle. I am not sure that her complaint about a $70,000 per year child support will endear her to many...that is way more than most of us make in a year and it is going to a child.

I did find it interesting that the judge took out of the judgement a pretty hefty spending spree that she went on immediately after she filed and McCartney resisted. Basically, the 600,000 pounds in lawyer fees she saved was washed out with the spending spree.

Honestly, if Mills would have been able to present herself in a better light rather than a intensely greedy person (rightly or wrongly judged so in the media), she could have easily walked out of that court room with much more than she did. The 125 million was a bit steep, but I really see no reason why she couldnt have walked out with 1/8 to 1/4 of McCartney's net worth... I sense this is the reason she is going to appeal that the details of the case be made public as the Judge has ordered. When it is all spilled out in the media, the light certainly isnt going to shine nicely on Mills no matter how many charities she donates to. Divorce is certainly a ugly business.
