Toyota said Wednesday it had received reports of 143 cases in which the bolts at the bottom of the power window assembly became loose, caused the window to rattle or led to the window breaking. Toyota spokesman Joe Tetherow said there had been one minor accident and 15 injuries reported. He said he did not know how many complaints Toyota had received of windows shattering.

Recalls Toyota
Toyota announced a pair of recalls involving more than 1 million vehicles in the U.S. In the first, about 752,000 Corolla sedans and Corolla Matrix small crossovers from the 2003 and 2004 model years will be recalled for a faulty airbag control module. In the other, about 270,000 Lexus IS sedans from the 2006 to 2012 model years will be recalled to check for a loose nut on the front wipers. Ref. USAToday

Toyota recalls 370,000 Sienna minivans because spare tire might fall off
Corrosive road salt can ruin spare tire mechanism; most being recalled a second time because they were fixed incorrectly in 2010 recall. The recall comes after Toyota was fined $1.2 billion in March for concealing acceleration defect. Ref. USAToday
