What is the official position of the Church with regards to miscarriages? Will parents have the opportunity to raise their babies in heaven even though they were never born?

Since the church doesn't have a position on when the spirit enters the body I'm not sure.

This is a tough question to answer. I really don't know. I want to believe mothers will have that chance but it's all in the Lord's hands.

My position is a lil different. We know mothers will be allowed to raise those babies and children they didn't have the chance to raise because they died in infancy...in this case we're talking about a baby who has not been born yet. Big difference.

Even the basic elements are physical and spiritual having the nature of both. It stands to reason that how ever far along the fetus is, it is still alive and like all humans has potential.

We have allowed science, medical science to dictate all the specifics around life and specifically new human life.

A thought came to mind, Mary the mother of Jesus and Elizabeth her cousin. They were both expectant mothers when we join them in the scriptures. Elizabeth stated from Luke 1:39-45.

international QUOTE
39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Mary hadn't been pregnant vary long when this encounter happened. Spirit speaks to spirit.

The Spirit should be the master over the body. In other things in this world, that is the case Spirit directs the physical. When we are in tune with the Spirit "Miracles" can and will occur, many times outside the explanation of modern medical science.
