Planned Parenthood Abortion Businesses Getting Bigger, Pro-Lifer Knows Why

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Planned Parenthood's new abortion centers in places like Houston, Portland, Denver and Aurora are unlike their current facilities nationwide. These new centers that have been built or are in the construction phase are massive in size and one leading pro-life advocate thinks he knows the reason why. Jim Sedlak of Stopp International says he has obtained Planned Parenthood Federation of America documents that show why the nation's largest abortion business is building its new centers larger than ever before. Planned Parenthood broke the $1 billion income threshold for the first time in its last fiscal year and pro-life advocates have often accused the "non-profit" group of an obsession with making money. That appears to be the case here. According to the information, PPFA is urging its local affiliates to engage in two new business practices that would likely expand its income opportunities. Sedlak says Planned Parenthood is pushing for its affiliates to engage in laboratory services and clinical research. "Planned Parenthood currently is engaged in some activities, such as providing pap smears, that require it to send material to local laboratories for analysis," Sedlak explained to LifeNews.com. "Planned Parenthood could save money if it did this laboratory analysis itself. However, it would obviously need a certain volume of business to make the investment in equipment and personnel worthwhile," he said.

I have no problem with them having a bigger facility if it helps them provide a service to women who are unable to get that service from others. Having a lab on site can help women when they get their medical evaluations that they need on a yearly basis.

Obama Tells Democrats to Drop Planned Parenthood Stimulus Funds After Outrage

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- After a national pro-life outcry following news that Congressional Democrats placed a bailout for the Planned Parenthood abortion business in the economic stimulus bill, President Barack Obama has urged party leaders to remove it. Obama is expected to tell Congressional Republicans today during a meeting. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs talked about how Obama is worried that keeping the provision in the bill could jeopardize its potential for passage. "While [Obama] agrees that greater access to family planning is good policy, the president believes that the funding for it does not belong in the economic recovery and reinvestment plan," he said. Republican leaders, including House Minority Leader John Boehner complained bitterly about the plan sending as much as $200 million to Planned Parenthood. Boehner said there is no reason for an economic package to contain funds for the nation's largest abortion business by qualifying more people for family planning funds under Medicaid. During a Friday House Energy & Commerce Committee hearing, Congressional Demcorats added a provision in the legislation that clears the way for expanded federal funding of contraceptives through Medicaid for those who aren't even poor.

Hollywood Celebs Helped Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz in 2010

The Planned Parenthood abortion business reported making more than $1 billion in income in 2010, but they achieved that with a little help from their Hollywood friends.

Looking back on 2010, in its recently-released annual report, Planned Parenthood racked up a stunning number of celebrity endorsements from musicians, writers, actors and other big-named people.

JoAnna Garcia, best known for her portrayal of Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery on The CW sitcom Reba participated in an awareness campaign for Planned Parenthood that it co-sponsored with MTV, the Kaiser Family Foundation, and the Obama administration. She wasn't alone as celebrities like Big Boi, Joy Bryant, Flo Rida, Keri Hilson, Perez Hilton, Kid Sister, Benji and Joel Madden, Method Man, N.E.R.D., Redman, and Asher Roth joined her.

At an annual benefit for the abortion business, members of the show Private Practice donated a script to auction off signed by Paul Adelstein, Amy Brenneman, Tim Daly, Taye Diggs, Chris Lowell, Audra McDonald, KaDee Strickland, and Kate Walsh.

Kathleen Turner donated her book Send Yourself Roses for the event, Alan Cumming donated his book Tommy's Tales, and Jon Stewart donated tickets to The Daily Show. Heather Tom donated a tour of The Bold and the Beautiful set and lunch, while Bree Williamson treated winners of an auction to a private tour of the One Life to Live set and lunch. Ref. Source 7

Planned Parenthood Videos Shock VA Governor, Attorney General

The governor and attorney general in Virginia are shocked by the video footage released last week by Live Action, which conducted undercover investigations of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics.
The sting operations revealed Planned Parenthood center staffers were willing to provide assistance to alleged operators of a sex trafficking ring - ranging from helping them arrange abortions for the underage girls they said they were victimizing to showing them how to avoid scrutiny and skirt parental involvement laws. The videos covered Planned Parenthood centers in Richmond and also other centers in Roanoke, Charlottesville, and Falls Church.

Live Action also filmed Planned Parenthood staff helping sex traffickers in New Jersey and the nurse who aided the alleged traffickers there has already been fired and the state health department is looking into the problems further.

Reacting to the videos, Gov. Bob McDonnell reportedly saw the footage and said he is "deeply troubled" by what he saw.

"The apparent actions of the clinic employee, if accurate, are alarming," McDonnell spokesman Tucker Martin told the Associated Press.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has already received the full, unedited footage of the Planned Parenthood expose" videos and he told CBS 6 WVTR in Richmond that they are 'shocking." Ref. Source 2

Planned Parenthood wrote the FBI a letter a week our investigation, only after they realized that Live Action had conducted the sting. They say this themselves. As much as they may pretend, Planned Parenthood was not attempting to help send human traffickers to jail; they were attempting to pre-empt the release of Live Action's footage.

If Planned Parenthood really cared about reporting potential sex traffickers to authorities, they would have called police while the pimp was in the clinic, or immediately after. Not wasting a minute. Planned Parenthood, where are the reports from the now SIX clinics we"ve released, that you immediately called the police?

This is a big blow to Planned Parenthood services and I believe they will have to shut down unless someone decides to fund them in some way. Besides abortion they might also provide other worthwhile services to help people not go down the road of unplanned pregnancy.
