Utah foreclosures up 141%
The number of Utah homeowners who received a foreclosure filing in June jumped nearly 141 percent, compared with the same month last year, according to a report released Wednesday. This is a nationwide problem. I have seen several people across the country just walk away from their homes and let the bank take them. This is so sad to see. There are ways to recover from a foreclosure situation but it takes effort and some people don't seem to want to make that effort to save their home.
I am not surprised to se this is such a problem in Utah. There are so many large, expensive homes that have been built there in the past several years. People seem to want to buy at the top of their price range and leave little breathing room. When a crunch comes they have few options.
