This is one interesting character. He pretty says what he wants when he wants about anyone he wants. He does whatever it takes to accomplish his goal, including killing hundreds of drug dealers to clean the streets. And he is no politician. Who the heck does he remind me of?
They probably kept him because they were afraid of dying trying to vote him out. Anyone that operates his government with an iron fist isn't going to be part of a democracy unless he is paying off a lot of people.

Maybe that's the only way to deal with it. While his method might be draconian at least he is doing something. How many times have we heard our politicians say they are fighting the war on drugs and each day you can see pushers selling on the same spot everyone knows.

As a Filipino, I can say that President Duterte is doing a great job in our country. I don't know what the drug situation is in other countries but his ascent to power proved a turning point in the war on drugs. When he speaks, he does it. He doesn't care about the consequences or if it will affect his popularity. Actually, his popularity is steady or might even have increased since he assumed presidency. People are not afraid of him. When he speaks, people treats him like a father whose wisdom you should listen to. I just like to point out, presidents are not allowed for re election. So he's not worried if people won't vote for him again. His leadership under the COVID pandemic is thumbs up to me. He is not perfect but I say he's the best president Philippines had!

The pandemic has not been good on him. With numbers not being on our favor and political opposition crying impeachment. My Facebook wall has been full of criticism to him, his allies and the government due to their performance regarding this Covid pandemic.
