Italy to send 130 soldiers and 8 helicopters to Iraq:
"The Italian government will send four Mongoose (A- 129) helicopters and four other NH90 planes to Iraq in the coming few days," indicating that, "The aircraft will be deployed the soonest in northern Erbil for combat, search and rescue purposes." Ref. Source 1f.

Italy sends 500 troops to protect Mosul Dam:
Italy will send 500 troops to protect workers who are repairing the Mosul Dam, northern Iraq, the country's defence minister revealed on Monday. During a visit to Baghdad, Roberta Pinotti said the soldiers would arrive in Iraq at the end of the month. Ref. Source 8a.
