Shoplifting In California

Prop. 47 blamed for shoplifting spike

Large retailers including Safeway, Target, Rite Aid and CVS pharmacies say shoplifting increased at least 15 percent, and in some cases, doubled since voters approved Proposition 47 and ended the possibility of charging shoplifting as a felony. Ref. Source 8e.

While the law may allow an increase such a superficial look at why this is happening isn't good enough. Something is wrong with society and it needs to be fixed soon before it breaks down and America turns into the wild wild west.
