I do question what lies unsaid in this case. I do not blame France for their stand and I think it is one more countries should take.

After all it is they why they are desirable in the first place. If you are bailing from issues in your own countries please leave them there do not bring them to the nice place you desire to move to so that the old problems become new problems for your new home.
