Although it has the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Things that would never be featured in a magazine end up online just because there isn't a print or distribution cost. This makes readers think its 'important' when it shouldn't be even covered.

UGC, in my opinion, is like information delivered via a third party. It lacks serious and reliable credibility and can be viewed mainly as hearsay.
Quantity does not equal quality. It is a discussion I have with my children quite often and people that I tutor. Just because it shows up numerous times in various search engines does not mean it is true.
The next part of this is validating what is credible.

I agree 100% with Malcolmshaw and will add that people need to be wise enough to read with some level of skepticism until they do their own research or check their source. Most times its just an opinion but its presented like fact.
