The BFG (Hover)
A girl named Sophie encounters the Big Friendly Giant who, despite his intimidating appearance, turns out to be a kindhearted soul who is considered an outcast by the other giants because, unlike them, he refuses to eat children.
Took the boys to see this. They enjoyed it, lots of action and things to captivate the mind of the child. The CGI was very good and gave a good perspective of child versus giant. The comedy comes more to the end. There are some grim parts if your child is easily scared.
When I saw BFG I thought it was Liam Neeson at first. It was a nice film but not outstanding. There were parts where people in the cinema were laughing but I didn't find it funny at all. Having said that, the movie teaches about stereotyping and accepting those who might look different than we are which of course, it is very important in the world we live.
