Prof. Naito, a prominent senior in a field of Japanese history, asked "Is Dokdo truly a Japanese territory?" and indicated as following that the government's assertion concerning Dokdo ownership is wrong.

First,

QUOTE
"Japan's feudal government's prohibition on sailing to Ullengdo Island in 1696 portrays an absence of intention to own Dokdo"

Second,
QUOTE
"As Japan took Dokdo as its own territory in 1905, it advocated 'Ownerless land occupation' but as a matter of fact, Korea, more than 5 years before this happened, clearly stated through a royal order that Dokdo is a part of Ullengdo Island."

Third,
QUOTE
"In 1876, when Japanese government was asked by a civilian to reclaim Ullengdo Island, once a chief state organ called 'Taejungkwan' replied that Ullengdo and Dokdo had nothing to do with Japan"

As so, based upon historical facts, Dokdo is indeed Korean territory.

Besides, other historical materials such as "a military order issued to restore Dokdo as Korean territory" in January, 1946 by Chief Command of Allied Nations verify the truth.

As Prof. Naito and Chief Command of Allied Nations have admitted, it is an evident fact that Dokdo is geologically, historically and effectively a part of Korean territory and many Japanese with good common senses acknowledge this point.

The more Japan distorts the history and insists Dokdo ownership, the more its original nature of militaristic aggression will be revealed. Also, it will create its own self-contradiction, denying all of their historicity and identities.

For the world's peaceful order and territorial sovereignty of neighboring nations, International Society mustn't tolerate any more of those atrocities Japan is committing.

Japan often claims its territorial right to Dokdo, which exasperates Korean people..
Whatever Japan may say, it is needless to say Dokdo is a Korean territory!
