He seems to be taking it all somewhat happily. For someone to have lost an estimated 90% of his wealth he seems oddly accepting. I guess the positive is that he still has money left and is not completely bankrupt.

This is what I try to tell young couples before they invest in a home - look at the value, will you be able to resell for a higher price if you need to? Is the property in a location where others will want to come and live, raise a family, etc.?
