Are you paid overtime? You may see it as a strange question, but in some countries there is no such thing as 'overtime' pay. Some companies work on a 'it needs to be done' basis regardless to if you worked your scheduled hours or not. If you are, do they pay you double overtime for excessive overtime, what about holidays?
I am considered an exempt employee, so my pay is salary based which means I don't get overtime pay. The only time I would get overtime is if I was asked to work in an area that was not in my job description, eg manufacturing. This would be considered work above what my title requires of me. Otherwise, it's 50-60 hour weeks for me, with a pat on the shoulder!

I get time and a half for hours beyond 40 per week and the same for any worked holiday. Target is only closed for 3 holidays, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The rest are worked as needed. I don't mind working holidays, it means more money. The last place I worked for I had to work every holiday except for Christmas, but then I got double time pay for it. Target will go out of their way to make sure people don't put in overtime hours.

I'm paid overtime only on an "approval first" basis. Once approved, if I work over 8 hours in a day, it's time and a half. (California has a different law.) I'm not paid OT if it's not approved beforehand, even if I work extra hours (although, of course, I'd be paid the regular wage). Some holidays we work, but those are offset by other days during and after tax season that we have as "accounting holidays" -- it's weird, but I don't mind.

In the kind of job I work, there is no really 'overtime work' , because it is a set time (although those long meetings after classes ARE over time) anyhow, I get paid all national holidays (and we have many in Trinidad), we are having a whole week off for Carnival (and I will be paid for that too) and of course during the vacation period.
