New research important to atmospheric photochemistry
A photochemical sciences research team has shown that a new and unusual reaction path in chemistry occurs not only in the gas phase, but also in solution. According to the researchers, the finding also establishes the direct link between chemical reactivity in the gas phase and in solution. Ref. Source 1p.
Interesting one might harness this in have to similar substance in one solution that is able to interact with things like carbon or o2. Could this be used to make better scrubbers for smog stacks? My chemical engineering is way too week to speculate. Just seems when you have an atom looking for a potential new mate one should be able to force a new marriage.
