Sorry for tripping you up there. I basically just wanted to say hi. I had planned for Leo to disappear almost the moment Corren shows up and you can keep the rest of your plans intact. Heck, he's just listening to Zinna's music at the moment, consider him a background npc for now.

Thanks Paul! If you become a premium member you email JB a pic and he takes care of it. Plus you get PM which is nice. Otherwise I don't think you can upload any pictures.
I'm hoping just being reunited with Zinna will be all that Corren needs to be back to his old self. We shall see. Sir Leo will be leaving soon I believe is what Daishain said.
I'm sorry. Every draft I come up with for a response to this makes me sound like a spoiled, petty child. But I am going to write it out anyway. My apologies to all.
First, this particular thread was set up after the Defenders first adventure, initially so Corren and Zinna could flirt, etc. Without bogging down the primary game thread for everyone else, but also anytime folks wanted to interact outside of the main narrative and not involve others unless they request to join in.
Second, Daishain, you just jumped into what seemed to me to obviously be a private discussion. You didn't even have him walk up and ask if he could interrupt. He was just there, involved. Honestly, I've been scripting this encounter out in my head since we learned as players that Zinna was making this new oath and would have to spend time away. Corren's feelings may not be as simple as everyone else thinks right now. And the chat with Alena was to help set things up.
Now on the bright side I have just come up with a different tack and will post shortly. It will start things down a slightly more conventional path than I had planned, but I think I can get it back on track soon enough. Thank you for letting me vent.
Once again I apologize. The last time you guys had an interaction, there was an open invitation, even if others didn't take you up on it. And you staged the beginning of this in a public place where it was relatively unlikely for someone else not to be there. I didn't think there would be a disruption.
I have Mradoric leveled up to level 3 He took the monastic tradition of the Way of the Four Elements allowing him to harness some control of the elements for his use with Ki. He can do some with it but not much yet. Also he gets deflect arrows.
I like the idea that with the limited funds and resources, at least for now, Carrick is able to just get a loose coalition of hunters and trappers together that would meet regularly at the tavern, and work toward establishing a more organized guild over time. It gives Carrick an in story "Goal" if you will that's more than just defend his home. Not saying that isn't a major motivation for him, but the dwarf does wish to see Clear Creek thrive and establishing something like a hunters guild could cut down on potential "Poaching" claims and the like that would take time away from the reeve. Also, this is kind of a back door approach at the beginnings of creating a small band of skilled men who help defend the town in ways maybe the local guard could not. Guerilla warfare and the like.
As far as money, Carrick would be fine with his current lifestyle status as he's had for several years now. He's not looking to climb any social or political ranks, just wanting to be abale to afford a decent living and some studded leather at this point.
.
Ok, with that latest post (About the fate of Melek) I suppose I need to get Carrick's "Year post" done.
Again, though, I just want to ask, before updating my character sheet and all that if procurement of studded leather is within his capabilities during that time earning a living both as a defender of Clear Creek and still providing pelts and meat from his hunts and perhaps even a little coin for the occasional need of a personal escort between Clear Creek and Durmista?
