I'm not as familiar with his character as the rest of you, but I don't see Carrick willing splitting off from the party right now, especially not when he knows we were partially counting on his eyes down in those tunnels.
(Speaking of, we have seriously got to get some cash and invest in a couple sets of night goggles if we're going to keep up with this spelunking. )
My suggestion would be that for now you run him as working with Celodhil more directly than with the party. After this chapter comes to a close, I'd suggest he does another wilderness disappearing act. When it comes time for the next adventure, hopefully Brandon is available, if not, there could be some other reason he doesn't join in.
Yeah, I will try to come up with a reason for Carrick to leave, but right now I am drawing a blank.
Mradoric should have a +3 on his roll assuming he uses dexterity; please be sure to include the modifiers when you roll otherwise it would look like he failed the roll when in reality he just scraped by. Zinna can't seem to catch a break but you did forget to roll the advantage; I rolled that for you and came up with an 11 so like Mradoric she would scrape by.
I will try to come with something regarding Carrick but I generally make it a rule not to take over PC's, just as I do not usually like to include an NPC as a member of the party which is why Celodhil is not going with the party into the dungeon. With Brandonfett being MIA it unfortunately means that Carrick will likely not be going into the dungeon with the party either.
I will work on resolving these issues and hopefully have a post up in the Main thread by this evening.
Hmm, in that case, perhaps there's an incident of some kind at the entrance, and both Celodhil and Carrick end up separated from the rest? Perhaps in a different part of the tunnels, or outside of them, drawing attention away from us?
The post in the Main thread was the best I could do to get Carrick and Celodhil separated from the rest of the group but it is dependant upon the rest of the party delving down into the dungeon rather than turning to face Oomigig. Obviously you are all free to do what you want but basically they would have the sense that if they turn to face Oomigig they may lose their opportunity to access the dungeon mostly because regardless of which side is winning the battle the party will likely be outnumbered.
Well it had to be done and without Carrick here it could get interesting but I think we can do ok. We all knew that Celodhil was not coming with us. Now that we are in the ruins and headed towards the goal we can see what we can do.
